I never write reviews, and i shame myself as i admit it. however, when someone writes something as amazing, talented, passionate, well-written, and purely perfect as this, it truly deserves to be told so. Thank you, so much for writing this. It was beautiful, everything about it, you're pretty damned amazing.
I hope you never stop writing(:

F**K this is nigh onto perfection. I chose not to read Snarry Games stories as they were being posted. This sounds stupid but I like to savor any new Snarry slowly and reading so many new stories so quickly seems to dilute the experience. So yours is my 1st and f**k (again) I'm afraid I read the best first. I loved every aside Severus uttered re Harry's manipulation of his "reality" and the memories you added were so poignant. F**k (yet again) this made my chest hurt. Thank you.

I had tears in my eyes more than once, a few of those moments below:

"She defended me when no one else would, when I was not worthy of defense. I repaid her kindness with malicious words and betrayal of the worst kind. You ask how I loved her, Potter?" He turned to face Harry and their eyes met. "Poorly."
---
There would be time to think about being in his home after all these years; time to think about how the room he was about to enter was the only room he could have called his own.
---
The boy and his dog looked bright and colorful and they seemed so familiar to Harry, and he could almost remember reading this book with his mother. But there were no words to accompany the pictures.

... Harry was determined to remember this, if only to have one memory of his mother aside from her screams.
---

And I had a few chuckles as well, my favorite being:
---
he was suddenly very glad he was a wizard.

"Well, that's convenient,"
---

What a moving, deeply moving tale. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Peace,

I put together what was going on after the second switch to the "dream" (the actual reality) but I think the realization made me love it even more because I was engrossed in wanting Harry to find his way home. Absolutely lovey.

Oh, I did misread the passage. I don't have Internet on my home computer and have to read these at the library. I have limited time there which means I often read passages too quickly.

As for the business about the Horcruxes, I knew Harry had informed Snape about them. I just thought he should have been suspicious that Snape would come up with an answer so quickly and conveniently.

But I do like this tale. I didn't even mind that the sex was in Harry's head. It was so salacious and the hesitancy on both men, each in their own way, was a powerful addition.

Wow. The idea of being trapped in his own mind is real cool. Though it was quite creepy in the beginning where the book pages were blank and stuff, I like this story very much. :)

Author's Response: Thank you. I found the idea chilling and really wanted to do it justice. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Harry really is slow sometimes. But, as Severus stated, he needed to work through his problems and that required time.

The argument that Nagini isn’t a believable Horcrux is one that’s been made before (I believe Rowling may have stated in her book that it would be impractical to make a Horcrux out of a living thing that could move on its own and possibly escape) and your explanation makes a lot more sense. However, Harry should have guessed there was something a little too convenient about Severus remembering a Gryffindor cloak pin that had never been mentioned or known to anyone else, especially since he didn’t know about Horcruxes in the first place. D’oh.

I’m wondering where Ron and Hermione were all this time that Harry was shacked up with Severus. It’s odd that they are nowhere present; you’d think they’d be inquiring after Harry’s wellbeing. But the drama of having the two men relate to each other without outside interference more than makes up for their lack.

Thank you for a thoughtful and provocative tale.

Author's Response: About the cloak pin- I believe you misread. Since Severus is in Harry's mind, Harry is the one who creates the cloak pin. Severus merely 'finds' it in a book that he's reading with Harry. Harry's the one who provided it, of course, since they're in his mind. Also, Harry is the one to inform him of the Horcruxes. If you go back and reread, it's in the scene where they're in the Great Hall.

Snape growled and slammed his fist upon the table, pieces of stone and dust flying into the air momentarily before settling down again. He clenched his jaw, his yellow teeth grinding together as he appeared to try to rein in his temper.

The attempt failed, and Snape bellowed, “Now listen to me, you pathetic excuse for a wizard, you absolute waste of magic.” Snape reached across the table and grabbed Harry by the collar of his shirt, hoisting him up a few inches so that Harry was close enough to feel Snape’s hot breath on his face.

“Isn't it possible that you grew up? That you're no longer that prejudiced child and I am not my father?"

I’d like to see that.
