Happy 3rd Year Anniversary to WTP
February 14th is a day for lovers to express their feelings. It is also the anniversary of the re-launch of Walking The Plank!


This year we celebrate 3 years of Snarry goodness here at WTP.


To help in the celebrations, Misssolitude has created a wonderful new Seasonal skin for the site. The art was graciously provided by the always wonderful Glockgal.


The Mods at WTP would like to thank all the authors, artists, and readers for helping WTP grow and become the fabulous archive for Snarry on the net.


The Management admin team would also like to thank all of our amazing volunteers for all their hard work!

Site Upgrades are complete for now.
As you've probably noticed, there are lots of little tweaks on Walking the Plank. We have two new skins designed by Xingou, with art from Glockgal and Andreanna, and modifications to the rest. We ask that only people above the age of 18 use or view the adult skin. We have a new Random Item link on the left sidebar, replacing our poll, and many more behind the scenes changes. We will have more modifications coming soon, so definitely keep visiting us at Walking the Plank!

Convention News on the Forum!
We know that many of you are traveling to Harry Potter and other conventions this year. We've set up some boards on our forum. We have separate boards for Portus, Terminus, and Con*txt , as well as memory boards for Prophecy and Sectus. Hopefully, this will help you find roommates and great Snarry friends. Site Upgrade
WTP will be receiving an upgrade of its software, plus some bugs will be looked at (and hopefully fixed)
The site will be under maintenance mode for an hour or so, sometime in the next few days.
I will post a note prior to the site going offline during the upgrade.

The New Face of WTP
We've made some big changes to the site!



Skins: There are new versions of all the skins. Our guest artist this month is Undun, who did the art for the Seasonal skin.



Art Contest: We want your art! WTP is looking for new artwork for the Simplicity skin. See the Art Contest rules for details.



Menus: The new split menu will make navigating the site easier. Navigation links are at the top; information links are at the bottom.



Challenges: You asked for it, and now you've got it. Issue a challenge to the Snarry community!



You'll find a few other improvements throughout the site, including the addition of the new spoiler classification (very important, with book seven coming soon!). We have a new poll feature, and the walkthroughs are now located conveniently on the help page, where you'll find FAQs divided by function -- Readers and Creators.

If you find any bugs, please send an email to wtp.technical @ gmail.com, detailing the problem and the page on which you encountered it.

Technical Upgrade + Downtime
WTP is getting a facelift! We are upgrading to the newest version of the efiction software, and getting new skins. This means there will be some downtime on the site while the tech staff sort things out. We will begin the process at 9:30pm EST (Feb 15th) and hope to be complete by Midnight EST. Thank you!

Shiver me Upgrades - April 24th ~2pm EST
The site is going to be upgraded April 24th, at around 2pm EST.

Please do not submit any stories after 1:45pm.
I will be doing a backup of the whole site then and anything posted after that point will be lost.

I will make a reply here once the upgrade is complete. I estimate an hour at most.

Ahoy! Upgrades off the Port Bow!
WTP is going to be getting an upgrade in software!
Between April 22 and April 24 I will be preparing and installing the upgrade. The actual upgrade shouldn't take more than 30 minutes, in that time the site will be temporarily down.

I will give a 30 minute warning before I take the site down for the upgrade.

Walking the Plank is delighted to announce that it is open for all submissions at this time!


We invite all authors and artists to host their completed Snarry fanfiction and art on Walking the Plank. Walking the Plank is a moderated archive for Harry/Snape shippers. The rules for submission are as follows:

Stories must be submitted via the archive upload page. All submitters agree, by submitting, to abide by the rules of the archive as posted. Stories will be read by moderators for spelling, grammar, and standard story formatting (e.g., paragraph returns, correct dialogue punctuation). UK and US spelling will be accepted. If necessary, stories will be returned to the author for corrections and will then be reread upon resubmission. No more than three resubmissions for the same story will be allowed. If an archived story is later found to have errors, the story will be returned to the author for revision, with our apologies. There is no limit to the number of stories an author may submit, but all will be subject to moderators’ approval. We ask that authors have patience as we look at each submission.

We wish to thank all authors who have waited patiently while we uploaded those fics previously hosted on Detention, but your wait is now over! We invite all lovers of Harry and Snape together, whether authors, artists, or audience, to join Walking the Plank. Come and see what our boys are getting up to!

Right now, we are accepting submissions only of the fic and art that was previously hosted on Detention. Restoring what was lost is our priority and we expect to open for general submissions around 14 April 2006.

Detention authors and artists should submit the work previously on Detention by clicking the Your Account button and then Add New Story. Walkthroughs for art and text are now up on the Resources section of our Forums to help you. You can ask for extra help there as well, and we'll do what we can!

We have a list of all the fic and art hosted on Detention, and your work will be approved by a Submissions mod when checked off that list.

If you know an author or artist who was hosted on Detention, make sure they know that Walking the Plank is looking for them!

Our Seasonal art for February is by Lizard Spots. Go the Forums and let Lizard know what you think!
